We fell in love with the music scene at our first Grateful Dead show in Chicago 1993. We left our small town in the midwest and eventually found ourselves in Portland, OR where we’ve raised our 3 daughters; Willow, Elora, and Kaiya. Live music and festivals have been a part of our family’s story from the beginning. We’ve worked in event and festival operations for over 15 years and we’re so fortunate to have the opportunity to carry on the legacy of Life’s Best Inn Tents and help create sacred spaces for people to enjoy art, music, and fellowship!

Over 35 years ago, Life’s Best Inn Tents was born of a love of music. Michael lefler started with a women’s clothing booth
as a way to get into music events. What was basically a hobby that got him into concerts, quickly grew into a full time business that included a broad range of events.

Brad met Lefler at Oregon Country Fair many years ago and became fast friends. After helping with tents at OCF then Northwest String Summit for several years, he was excited at the opportunity to carry on the legacy of Life’s Best Inn Tents and purchase the company. The Batsons are honored to continue creating spaces for music and art.
